Gaming technology supplier Win Systems has launched a new electronic roulette game under its Gold Club brand, Chinese roulette.

Chinese roulette differs from the traditional Western version, featuring the usual 36 numbers plus zero but is laid out as a figure of eight, in reference to Chinese culture’s enduring relationship with the number.

Players will also be able to bet on alternative sets of numbers based on the Chinese zodiac, including the tiger, snake and dragon among others, as well as wider sets based on the four elements of wood, fire, metal and water.

All casino estates with Gold Club roulette integrated will be able to offer players the choice between Chinese roulette and the traditional version on a single machine, with both linked to the same live table.

Eric Benchimol, CEO of Win Systems, said: “Featuring a brand-new bet table, new symbols and the regionally tailored figure-of-eight layout, all players, but particularly Asian ones, will enjoy the fresh approach to the established game.

“We’ve boosted our Gold Club range significantly in recent weeks with the launch of Ventura and Knockout, and this latest addition will confirm our position as the leading electronic roulette supplier to global operators.”

Win Systems will launch the latest addition to its electronic roulette range at ICE in London next week, at stand S6-150.
