Karolina Pelc speaks at the CasinoBeats Summit in London in September 2018

Karolina Pelc has joined SG Digital, a division of Scientific Games, as vice president for casino innovation, based at the company’s Chiswick office in London.

Pelc joins from operator LeoVegas, where she spent more than three years in the roles of casino director and head of casino. At SG Digital, she will report to Dylan Slaney, senior vice president of gaming. The move also sees Pelc relocate to the UK from Malta.

“I am really excited to join SG Digital at such a momentous time for our industry and the US market,” Pelc told CasinoBeats.

“Having spent the last three years at LeoVegas where product innovation was key, it feels like the right move given Scientific Games’ market-leading position and strong focus on delivering a product and player experience-led strategy.”

Before LeoVegas, Pelc held management roles at Riplife Gaming Technologies, Betsson Group and Bodog, and has worked in the land-based casino sector including VIP clubs in London and the Royal Caribbean cruise Line.

She was recruited by SG for her expertise in the online gaming sector and her knowledge of customer needs, as the company seeks to enhance its casino product offering and drive new revenue streams. Pelc is expected to play a key role in upgrading SG Digital’s product portfolio to meet the ever-growing needs of its customers in both existing and new markets.

Dylan Slaney added: “As our casino platforms continue to evolve at speed, we’re thrilled to have Karolina on board to drive innovation and keep our systems at the industry forefront.

“Karolina’s expertise will prove invaluable as we enter new markets and customise our products for specific geographies while simultaneously maintaining a global development mindset,” he said.
