Gaming Realms has announced its entry into the Italian gaming market, doing so via a number of collaborations with online casino operators within the jurisdiction.

The latest strand of the group’s European expansion, which has been undertaken via SG Digital’s OpenGaming platform, initially sees Gaming Realms’ Slingo portfolio go live in the market with igaming operators Goldbet and Sisal Group. Sometime this month Lottomatica will also be joining the live list.

Gaming Realms’ platform and portfolio have been fully certified for entry into the Italian regulated gaming market by L’Amministrazione Autonoma dei Monopoli di Stato.

Michael Buckley, executive chairman of Gaming Realms, explained: “We are extremely excited to be announcing our entry into Italy, a new market and key milestone for Gaming Realms. Goldbet, Sisal Group and Lottomatica are all tier one Italian gaming operators and have been innovating the world of gaming internationally for many years. We are delighted to be making this first step into the Italian market with them as our partners.

“The company has complied with all the necessary guidelines and regulations in order to enter this new, regulated market and we now look forward to bringing our unique Slingo content to a new audience and exploring further distribution opportunities in Italy, as we remain focused on increasing our international presence.”

Last week, Gaming Realms set its sights on achieving further expansion across regulated US jurisdictions, after securing a three-year extended partnership with BetMGM.

The renewed agreement with the MGM Resorts International and Entain igaming and sports betting joint venture is tasked with providing a further boost to the game developer’s burgeoning footprint in the region.
