Following two Sunday CoinMillion tournaments that attracted a combined 9,062 entries, the tournament will become a permanent monthly fixture in the CoinPoker tournament lobby.
Each $215 edition will feature a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool, top-heavy payouts, physical and digital trophies for the winner, and a place in the CoinMillion Hall of Champions.
The CoinMillion will now be offered monthly in the CoinPoker tournament lobby, following its first two editions during the World Poker Masters and Battle of Malta Online. The next edition is scheduled for August 9.
CoinMillion events are also scheduled for September 6 and October 4th. They will continue to take place on the first Sunday of each month.
CoinPoker continues to add value to its tournament schedule, bringing over 22,000 players to the platform on July 26.
Previous CoinMillion Editions & Champions
The second edition recently took place during the Battle of Malta Online on July 12. A larger field of 4,784 entries competed, with “Monc” earning $121,500 for first place.
When three players remained, “JhonnieTsunami” offered a deal to the others, not wanting to “flip for $70k.” He was unfortunately rejected, then immediately exited the tournament after losing a flip with pocket tens.
Monc secured a large chip lead, and carried it until the victory.
The first CoinMillion took place during the World Poker Masters on May 10, attracting 4,278 entries. “DaniC1994” won the inaugural title and collected $126,500.
Across the opening two editions, CoinMillion recorded 9,062 entries and awarded $248,000 to its champions. Both winners also received physical trophies, permanent digital trophies in the CoinPoker Trophy Cabinet, and a place in the upcoming CoinMillion Hall of Champions.
Overview of the Upcoming Monthly CoinMillion Event
Play begins at 4:30 p.m. UTC (11:30 am ET) on August 9 for the next $1,000,000-guaranteed CoinMillion, and then on the first Sunday of every month for future events.
The tournament runs across two days. The remaining field returns on Monday, with seven players reaching the final table to compete for the largest shares of the prize pool and the CoinMillion Champion title.
Players start with 100,000 chips, equal to 200 big blinds, before progressing through 10-minute blind levels. Late registration remains available until Level 19.
The CoinMillion prize pool is weighted more towards the top rankings, awarding the previous champions over 12% of the total guarantee.
Players can use a wide range of satellites to go direct to CoinMillion for $5.50, or work towards a ticket with special freerolls.
Satellite Pathways to the CoinMillion
Direct CoinMillion satellites run in the lead-up to each monthly event, with buy-ins ranging from $5.50 to $44.
With these direct satellites, successful players earn entry into the $215 CoinMillion, possibly winning their ticket at an almost 40-times lower price in the $5.50 satellites.
For even lower-cost entry into the CoinMillion, players can start with Step 3 and Step 4 freerolls and move through the Step stages up to direct satellites. Free satellites run multiple times every day, leading up to August 9, giving every player a chance to play in the million-dollar event.
Players can find the available routes by searching for “CoinMillion” in the CoinPoker tournament lobby.
The CoinMillion Trophies
Every CoinMillion champion receives a custom physical trophy, which is delivered after the event. Along with a substantial winner’s prize, this tournament trophy will permanently celebrate the achievement of winning the CoinMillion.
Winners also receive a digital trophy in the CoinPoker Trophy Cabinet, creating a lasting record of each title. Inside the Cabinet, all of the player’s wins are visible to other CoinPoker players.
Each champion will also be added to the CoinMillion Hall of Champions, where their prize, field size, and tournament result are recorded alongside previous winners.
