Atlantic City has been given the greenlight to reopen its venue doors with Governor Phil Murphy allowing New Jersey casinos to operate again with a 25 per cent capacity.
Following the closure of casinos around the US due to coronavirus, properties have now been told they can reopen on July 2 with the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Tropicana Casino Resort, Golden Nugget, Ocean Casino Resort and Resorts Casino Hotel preparing to welcome guests.
Hard Rock Atlantic City
The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino was the first of the Atlantic City casinos to release its COVID-19 health and safety guidelines.

Upon reopening guests and workers at the entertainment venue will be required to wear face coverings with masks being provided on entrance if needed. Employees will be given PPE if required.

All guests and employees will have their temperature taken on arrival before entering the property, with those with temperatures higher than 100.4 degrees being turned away.
Golden Nugget
Golden Nugget has announced its reopening yet also revealed that all hotel reservations throughout July have been cancelled with deposits being refunded in full.

The company has also revealed that it will be extending all current tier statuses through to February 2020 regardless of tier credit balance.
The casino has had a player development ream inside its properties to make sure machines and tables adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Resorts Casino Hotel
Upon the announcement of reopening, Resorts Casino Hotel has released a video from CEO and president Mark Giannantonio who explained the company’s ‘Stay Safe Work Safe’ plan.
Within the initiative is increased hand sanitiser stations throughout the casino, glass dividers on slot machines and tables, and social distancing rules.

Ocean Casino Resort, which recently celebrated its two-year anniversary, has implemented several healthy and safety rules into their casinos stating ‘a clean hand is a lucky hand’.

In an interview with the New Jersey News Network, Terri Glebocki, CEO of Ocean Casino Resort, said: “The safety of our guests and our employees are our top priority. So, as you look at the property, you’re going to see over 200 fixed hand sanitising stations.
“You’re going to see a bottle of hand sanitiser anywhere you go. You’re going to see wipes if you want to wipe down your own equipment, You’re going to see twice as many people cleaning the casino floor as you did before—we call them ‘The Ocean Clean Team.’”

Another casino to announce its opening on July 2 is the Tropicana AC which has stating that it is working with public health officials and regulators to implement safety and cleaning standards.

On July 3, Bally’s, Harrah’s Resort, and Caesars will reopen their properties with all three casinos requiring guests and employees to wear face masks whilst indoors.
