Dutch football club Telstar has joined forces with 711 in an agreement that will see the Belgium-based digital gambling entity become a main sponsor for the upcoming season.
This has seen both parties stress that the partnership will enable each to “further shape their ambitions”, with the operator looking to “grow considerably” over the coming years.
“711 is more than a number,” said Leon Annokkée, Telstar’s new managing director. “It is a young and very ambitious platform and brand that can make good use of the years of expertise of the underlying family business.
“A company that recognises our ambitions and is happy to contribute to them with conviction. We are delighted with the partnership and believe we can responsibly deliver growth for both Telstar and 711.”
Under the terms of the alliance, the 711 brand will be prominently featured on the kits of the White Lions, which play their trade in the Eerste Divisie, the Netherlands’ second tier, for “at least the next two seasons”.
Furthermore, the online casino brand will also become a named stadium partner of what will now become known as the 711 Stadium in Velsen-Zuid.
Tom de Backer, CEO of 711, stressed excitement at the collaboration: “Telstar initially stood out to us as a quirky club, accessible and sympathetic.
“In our discussions with the club, we tasted the warmth and also the clear ambition to make steps in the sporting and commercial field in the coming years.
“In our eyes, a very nice match with 711 and our ambition to continue to grow considerably in the coming years.”
