Continuing CasinoBeats‘ series of updates from SlotCatalog‘s SlotRank leaderboard, which highlights the popularity of online slots based on casino lobby position, this week, the focus is on the French market and Spinomenal’s success with Demi Gods II.
While market in France is a fraction of the size of the UK’s online casino sector, last week saw Spinomenal continue to hold on pole position in the SlotRank leaderboard.
This was closely followed by GameArt’s Circus of Horror and Fugaso’s Trump It Deluxe and Fugaso Airlines. France’s market appears to be one of the very few listed on SlotCatalog’s SlotRank that is not dominated by the usual players such as NetEnt, Play’n Go and Big Time Gaming.
The positions in the SlotRank leaderboard are calculated on a daily basis by scanning the lobby positions of hundreds of online slot titles across hundreds of online casinos in a wide range of markets.
Unlike last week’s look at the UK market, the French chart appears to be dominated by a number of much newer slots, with the oldest title in the top 12 being Mr Luck from Felix Gaming, which first launched in 2017. The UK’s leading title, NetEnt‘s Starburst, first entered the market in 2013 – the same year France opened its first online casinos.
If we’re to look elsewhere to see how Demi Gods II is performing, it comes in at No.46 for the Italian market. Denmark has it listed as No.28, while the Netherlands and the UK have it ranked at 521 and 687 respectively.
This could demonstrate that in older markets such as the UK, it is much harder for newer slots titles to slug it out with the veterans of the market such as NetEnt’s Starburst and Gonzo’s Quest (No.1 and No.6 in the UK SlotRank respectively).
