With Halloween just around the corner, we’ve prepared a horrifying array of spooky slot releases in our latest round up of what the industry has to offer. This week’s selection features pumpkin prizes from Pragmatic Play, 4ThePlayer’s wheel-spinning witches, a dracula dynasty from SYNOT Games, and more.
Infective Wild – Pragmatic Play
A pumpkin plague of wild symbols offer infecting features in the latest slot from Pragmatic Play, which uses a 5×5 reel slot with 40-paylines and a maximum win of up to x5,000 the player’s stake. The game has high volatility with an RTP of 96.09 per cent.
Irina Cornides, Chief Operating Officer at Pragmatic Play, stated: “We set out to create a game that embodies the spooky spirit of Halloween while also offering an unexpected mechanic – Infective Wild with its infectious feature spreading wilds across the reels does just that and more.
“Providing big win potential in the base game and a culmination of wild wins in the bonus, the slot provides thrills that can be enjoyed all year round as well as throughout the spooky season. We’re excited to see the reception this Halloween-themed slot has from players and operators alike.”
Scatter gold coins are available on reels one, three and five, triggering a random number of free spins each time three land on the same spin.
Additionally, wild pumpkins can appear, substituting for all symbols other than the gold scatters. Landing three, four or five wilds in a winning combination will provide wins of x3, x15 or x60 the player’s bet, respectively.
Each time a pumpkin wild drops into play adjacent to one of the high value raven or cat symbols, the infective wilds feature will be activated. This causes those high value symbols to transform into wilds.
If those transformed high value symbols are adjacent to any other high value symbols themselves, then those symbols will also transform into wilds. This process is repeated until no adjacent high value symbols are available.
When activating the free spins, players are presented with eight individual reels as each reel reveals a number between one and three. Once all the numbers have been revealed, they will be added together and awarded as the total number of free spins, allowing for a minimum of eight and a maximum of 24.
During the free spins, all wild symbols that land on reels two through four will stay sticky on the board for the entity of the game mode. This will also be the case for infected wilds.
3 Lucky Witches – 4ThePlayer
Collaborating with Yggdrasil once again for the release of its latest title, 4ThePlayer has presented a wheel-spinning bonus feature in its spell-binding Halloween slot. The game uses a 5×3 reel grid with 243-ways to win and a maximum win of x5,000 the player’s stake, along with high volatility and a 96 per cent RTP.
Henry McLean, Co-Founder, Commercial and Marketing Director at 4ThePlayer, commented: “We listened to player and operator feedback when creating this sequel and evolved an already popular game mechanic, introducing the exciting Witches’ Wheel.
“With several levels of rewards and the possibility for players to choose elements and feel part of the decision-making process, this game will generate great engagement and is one we are very proud to introduce to operators.”
Pumpkin scatters can drop into play, activating the Witches’ Wheel bonus feature if three or more appear on the same spin.

On the wheel’s first layer, players can win between x5 and x20 their stake while being able to access the next layer by landing on an arrow symbol. Additionally, players can gain three win spins.

Vampire Odyssey – SYNOT Games
Vampire bats transform into vicious killers in SYNOT Games’ latest slot title, shocking players with a 5×3 reel slot that has 10-paylines and a maximum win of up to x10,000. This slot uses medium-high volatility with an RTP of 96 per cent.
Michael Polák, Product Manager from SYNOT Games, explained: “The concept behind Vampire Odyssey is very simple, incorporating a classic feature like free spins. Wild symbols are very attractive throughout the game, accounting for a lot of amazing combinations.
“This high-volatility game can entice even players who prefer to play with lower bets and still generate substantial earnings. A max exposure of x10,000 only supports my claim. The game then grabs anyone’s attention, perfect for campaigns launched around Halloween.”
Low value symbols come in the form of the high end of a deck of cards, from nine through to Ace. If the right number of matching combinations land on a single spin, these symbols can offer between x1 and x15 the player’s stake.
Next up, candles, potions and rings depict the medium value symbols, offering between x3 and x50 the player’s preferred bet.
Female victims and a blood-thirsty vampire represent the high value symbols. These symbols can offer between x5 and x500 the player’s wager, depending on the number of paying combinations that fall on one turn.
Free spins scatters are also available, coming in the form of moonlit castles. Landing three, four or five scatters on the same spin will activate 15 free spins with x3, x4 or x5 multipliers respectively.
Finally, wild W symbols can appear, substituting for all symbols other than the castle scatters. Landing three, four or five wilds in a winning combination will provide respective wins of x15, x75 or x500 the player’s stake.
Fear of Dark – Redstone
The grim reaper features in the latest slot release from Redstone, appearing alongside demons, zombies and werewolves to provide frightening features. This spooky slot uses medium volatility with an RTP of 96.24 per cent.
For this title, playing card royals depict the low value symbols, with Jacks, Queens, Kings and Aces. If the right number of matching combinations land on a single spin, these symbols can offer between x0.25 and x2.5 the player’s wager.
Meanwhile, witches, zombies and werewolves represent the medium value symbols, offering between x0.5 and x12.5 the player’s bet.
Furthermore, the game’s highest-paying symbol is represented by red demons. These symbols can offer between x0.25 and x75 the chosen stake, depending on the number of winning combinations that fall on one turn.
Scatter spikes can drop into play on reels one, three and five, offering a payout of x20 if three land on the same spin.
Hammer scatters are also available on all reels, paying out x3, x20 or x100 the player’s stake when three, four or five land on the same spin, respectively.
Lastly, wild grim reapers are available on reels two, three and four, and will expand to cover full reels each time they drop into play.
Destino das Almas – Gaming Corps
Our final spooky slot release celebrates the upcoming Day of the Dead holiday, as Gaming Corps presented a festive 5×5 reel slot with 25-paylines and a maximum win of up to x5,000 the player’s bet. This game has an RTP of 94.22 per cent.
Connor Blinman, Head of Games at Gaming Corps, explained: “Our development team continue to work at pace, making sure we can launch hit releases time and again, and I’m sure Destino das Almas will be no exception, with its colourful aesthetic and innovative game mechanics.
“We are always looking for ways to improve what is already a premium portfolio of games, and this is another addition to our offering which will make the playing experience with our operator partners even more memorable.
“I look forward to offering Destino das Almas to players along with other new game launches we are planning for the end of the year, as our games content continues to go from strength to strength.”
Skull scatters can appear, triggering the bingo bonus game mode when three or more drop into play.
Wild text symbols are also available, substituting for all symbols other than the two forms of skull scatters. Additionally, special colourful wilds can drop into play, causing another four to 24 wilds to be placed across the board, increasing the win potential of that spin.
When three or more scatters appear, the bingo bonus is activated. This causes players to be taken to an empty reel set, where only the triggering scatters appear on the board.
Players are then given three spins to land as many further scatters on the board as possible, with each skull that drops into play resetting the number of spins to three.
When more skulls appear, bingo lines can be formed vertically, horizontally and diagonally. Players then receive prizes for the number of lines they manage to form within the same bonus feature.
Throughout the bonus game, 12 bingo lines can be formed. After collecting so many lines, players can win access to a prize wheel. Depending on the number of lines collected before the feature finishes, the prize wheel can offer multiplied bet amounts from x12 to x40 the player’s stake, or jackpot prizes of mini (x50), minor (x150), major (x500) or grand (x5,000).
