888 Holdings, the online gaming and solutions provider, has announced that its poker vertical has successfully launched on the Italian market.

888 Poker, “the world’s second largest poker site,” builds on the firm’s presence in the Mediterranean nation, with casino and sports betting offerings already available, and the group also stated it forms part of its expansion strategy within regulated markets.

With all three of 888 Holdings key gaming verticals now available within Italy, 888 state this latest move “is an increasingly important growth market for the Group.”

Itai Pazner, COO of 888 Holdings, commented: “We’re delighted to bring our poker site to the Italian market, which fits with our strategy to expand 888’s presence in regulated markets and strengthens our position for the forthcoming pooling of players across selected European markets.

“Following the success of our sports betting and casino products in the market, it was a natural step to offer our poker brand to our Italian customers so they can enjoy all three products, seamlessly and in one place.”

888poker.it offers 888’s unique poker assets and full range of poker variants, including two popular formats for what it calls its “largely recreational” player base.

Snap Poker, is a high speed fast fold offering, while Poker Blast is a four player game that lasts eight minutes and features a prize pool of up to €300,000.

A new advertising campaign with the tagline “Il Gioco inizia adesso! (Let the games begin!),” is also set to appear on television channels and in print publications across Italy.
