As the noise around ICE Totally Gaming in London earlier this month reached fever pitch, Playtech was releasing Sporting Legends, a new slot game series linked to industry-first timed jackpots guaranteed to be won every day.
As the dust settles on another ICE, a key promotion of the Sporting Legends launch kicks off, timed to coincide with the Cheltenham Festival
The Frankie Dettori Sporting Legends network promotion runs from March 1-22, offering players the chance to win up to £200,000 from the weekly prize draw.
During Festival week, Playtech will double the winnings for the first daily and weekly
jackpots, with headline prizes of £5,000 up for grabs in addition to hundreds of smaller
cash sums.
The remaining games in the Sporting Legends suite will follow, with the second instalment based on snooker megastar Ronnie O’Sullivan, set to launch in April. The third game in the series, World Cup Top Trumps, will be released in June, in time for the much-anticipated summer football tournament and will feature the world’s biggest soccer stars.
Across each game sits the Sporting Legends Jackpot. This highly innovative feature offers a Daily Jackpot that must be won by the end of every day; a Weekly Jackpot that must be won by the end of the week; and a Mega Jackpot that offers a huge pay-out.
The unique feature is the jackpot re-trigger mechanism that means that as soon as the daily, weekly and/or mega jackpots are won, they immediately retrigger and reset until a specific time depending on which one is won.
Each jackpot is also won by a mystery trigger. Place any bet, with any stake and players have a chance of winning either the daily jackpot or the weekly jackpot. Any jackpot can be won randomly on any spin.
In a statement, the company said: “We have set up a Sporting Legends Prize Draw launched to coincide with this year’s Cheltenham Festival, the most prestigious jump racing event of the year. The promotion begins on March 1 and ends on March 22 and players can win up to £200,000 in cash from the weekly prize draw.
“Playtech will double the first daily and weekly jackpot during Cheltenham festival week. This is capped at £3,000 for the Daily Double, and £20,000 for the Weekly Double. Players play as normal and, for every £10 staked, receive one entry into the draw which is always on a Friday.
“The first and third prize draws are for £50,000 with the second draw set at £100,000.”
