Gaming startup WeAreCasino has confirmed ex-head of sales at BetGames.tv, Christian Maglia, as a member of its board of directors and Chief Commercial Officer, reports European Gaming.
After leaving his previous post midway through February of this year, Maglia is expected to take up his new role sometime in April.
Domenico Vacchiano, the founder and CTO at WeAreCasino, which debuted last year, stated: “First of all I’m happy to welcome Christian to WeAreCasino’s Board of Directors and to have him as our CCO, a role in which he will bring some exceptional talent. We are all thrilled to have recruited him to join us.
“He has a wealth of experience and I know that, with his very real passion for the industry, he will add a new dimension in leading the commercial area and help continue the implementation of our plan to position WeAreCasino as the one-stop solution for all casino gaming needs.”
Upon joining WeAreCasino Maglia is to be responsible for heading up all commercial activities with its revenue management, sales, marketing, customer care teams.
Speaking of the new venture, Maglia said: “It’s an exciting time for me. I’m proud to announce this new venture with one of my oldest friends, Domenico Vacchiano, who founded WeAreCasino January last year.
“I have to say I’m grateful of all the experiences I have had at BetGames last year, working within an incredible group of gaming experts and signing new deals with the most important companies in the gaming industry.
“I think I will never forget this experience. WeAreCasino is offering me again the opportunity to set up my team and to market its products and services all around the world. The main markets for the company are currently LatAm (with particular attention to Brazil, Peru and Colombia) and the Middle East.
“I will join a group of professionals all with huge experience in the gaming industry (also video gaming in this case) and hope I’ll be able to contribute to the further expansion of the activities in Europe, Africa and Asia, also using the network of contacts and friends I made in the last years”.
