Armen Sargsyan, the recently elected president of Armenia, this week visited the headquarters of SoftConstruct, the parent company of betting and gaming technology specialist BetConstruct.
President Sargsyan, pictured centre, met SoftConstruct founders Vahe and Vigen Badalyan at the company’s head office in the Armenian capital Yerevan.
The head of state, himself a computer scientist and one of the team behind the Tetris off-shoot Wordtris, toured the SoftConstruct campus meeting the teams and getting acquainted with the solutions provided by the company.
During Sargsyan’s visit, the founding Badalyan brothers shared their insight and a glimpse into the company’s future development plans as well as a view on the IT sector in Armenia, with the president impressed with the scale of growth of SoftConstruct in the 15 years since it was founded.
There are a number of operations in the SoftConstruct group, alongside BetConstruct, including FeedConstruct, a real-time data-feed provider; Fast Credit UCO, a Ucraft website builder; an innovative payment gateway, FastShift; FastToken, a digital wallet for online gaming; and the BetonPolitics platform for political debate and forecasts.
