Online casino 21.co.uk, launched in 2013, has announced that it has agreed a deal with the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), which will see the official UK sponsorship of the 2018 Shanghai Darts Masters.
Taking place across 13-14 July, and broadcast live on ITV4, the event sees the eight leading PDC players featured, including defending champion and World number one Michael van Gerwen, battling it out for the winners crown and £20,000 top prize.
“We are thrilled to be sponsoring the 2018 Shanghai Darts Masters, one of the best events of the year in the darts calendar,” said Mark Good, a spokesperson for 21.co.uk.
“This is 21.co.uk’s first sponsorship in darts and it gives us the perfect platform to promote the 21.co.uk brand and show our passion for live sports in front of a huge audience on ITV4.”
The 2018 Shanghai Darts Masters will feature leading players from the PDC circuit; joining World Champion Michael van Gerwen will be Peter Wright, Rob Cross, Gary Anderson, Daryl Gurney, Gerwyn Price, Michael Smith and James Wade.
They will be taking on the top three players from the PDC Asian Tour, plus five Chinese qualifiers. ‘Mighty Mike’ will be making his return as the defending champion after defeating Dave Chisnall 8-0 in the 2017 final.
