Melco Resorts and Entertainment has seen cause for celebration, after receiving the honour of having the highest number of Michelin-starred restaurants for any integrated resort operator worldwide.

Its success, building upon last year, sees the developer, owner and operator of casino resort facilities receive ten Michelin stars amongst six of its signature restaurants, by the Michelin guide 2019.

Jade Dragon, a Cantonese located at Melco’s City of Dreams, Macau, has “further set the benchmark for fine dining,” after building upon its previous two star entries with a third at the Michelin Guide Hong Kong Macau 2019 awards ceremony.

Alain Ducasse at Morpheus has made instant headway, with the French contemporary eatery, also located at the City of Dreams, coming home with two stars just six months after opening.

Further City of Dreams restaurants making the list are The Tasting Room (two stars) and sushi specialist Shinji by Kanesaka (one star), with Ying, a Cantonese establishment located at Melco’s Altira Macau also earning a one star accolade.

The final entrant into the list is Pearl Dragon, also a Cantonese located at Studio City, a Cotai property majority-owned by Melco, which also received one star, with Yi at City of Dreams’ Morpheus, Aurora and Tenmasa at Altira Macau and Bi Ying at Studio City, recommended within the guide.

Lawrence Ho, chairman and CEO at Melco Resorts & Entertainment, stated: “I am incredibly proud of Melco’s culinary team for their ongoing dedication to excellence, and the Michelin Guide’s awards further affirms the global recognition for their efforts.

“Our success has only been made possible through the successful partnerships we have with our world-renowned chefs and the great teamwork within our teams.

“We are always committed to delivering the most exquisite dining experiences for our guests, and we aim to raise the bar even higher, in order to offer our guests the finest, most memorable and luxurious experiences possible through our properties.”
