Casino games developer Synot Games has built upon recent Swedish and Danish market entries, by obtaining certification to make its debut into Portugal.
Granting the Malta headquartered content supplier access to the Portuguese igaming market through a variety of the country’s operators, it follows an influx of action in the market as the country comes under the spotlight.
Going live in 2017 and in its third year of regulation under the Portuguese Gambling Inspection and Regulation Service, it comes ahead of potential further expansion across south European markets for the firm, which it expects to undertake in the upcoming weeks and months.
Last year revenues in online gaming and betting in Portugal amounted to a €152.1m, marking significant growth compared to the previous year.
Ivan Kodaj, CEO at Synot Games, commented on the new market entry: “Portugal is another significant destination for Synot Games and marks our entry to the Iberian Peninsula. The certification underlines our commitment to further focus on expansion in regulated markets. We believe that our diverse portfolio will prove to be highly popular among Portuguese players.”
Added: “We have recently gained prestige through certification for Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Denmark and Italy. The tangible land base feel of our ‘games for true players’ will speak break through in these regulated markets.”
In May of this year Portuguese online casino operator Casino Solverde welcomed content from online and mobile casino content provider iSoftBet as well as Novomatic’s interactive division, Greentube.
Furthermore, Casino games supplier Red Rake Gaming has continued to target expansion across the Portuguese market, with its latest aligning made alongside operator Casino Portugal.
Red Rake made its entry into the market in April, bringing its “best selection of games” to the nation following entry into partnership alongside “one of Portugal’s leading operators” bet.pt.
Following this the company made moves to solidify its footprint towards the end of last month, after entering into an agreement with European online gaming group Betclic, which enjoys a strong presence in the market.
