The Gauselmann Group’s UK-facing bingo and gaming firm Praesepe has extended its footprint across the British high street after debuting seven new AGC’s.

After making an £84,000 to GambleAware in June covering the first quarter of the gambling industry charity’s fiscal year, Praesepe’s launches follows the return to action for the region’s gaming entertainment sector reopened on July 4.

Promising that three further venues are on course to debut by the first week of September, it adds to operations which total 166 adult gaming centres, five family entertainment centres, and five bingo clubs in the UK.

The latest Merkur Slots AGC opened in the city of Wolverhampton, and completes a busy period for the company which has also undertaken debuts in Lancaster, Southall, Hornchurch, Saltash, Bolton and Selby.

All venues are COVID-secure, with Praesepe implementing what it is describing as an ‘Open, Clean, Safe’ campaign which aims to ensure that each of the new safety requirements are in-place and communicated to customers via social channels and the official website.

The safety measures, which are constantly reviewed in line with government regulations, include the deployment of perspex screens, full machine cleans between customers as well as the availability of sanitise stations, face coverings and the implementation of social distancing.

Mark Schertle, Praesepe COO, explained: “First of all it means a lot to be introducing the unique Merkur Slots brand of gaming entertainment to new locations – in the process supporting local communities with the creation of new jobs.

“This is a very exciting time for the Merkur Slots brand. We have a unique edge in that we can offer players brand-new, modern venues that have been designed with social distancing in mind all of which means that Merkur Slots customers can game with total confidence.”
