Churchill Downs Incorporated’s BetAmerica brand has inked multi-year multi-state igaming and sports betting agreements with Game Account Network and Kambi.
CDI says that deals will enable the firm to “more efficiently” roll-out the entity across further US jurisdictions, building upon its current presence in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Mississippi.
Under the terms of the partnerships, GAN and Kambi are to provide player account management, casino platform, sports trading and risk management services for the company’s sports betting and gaming business.
Bill Carstanjen, CEO of CDI, said of the move from it’s previous agreement with SBTech: “We believe the transition to Kambi and GAN as our new technology providers will enable our team to execute the roll-out of BetAmerica sportsbooks and igaming product offering more efficiently, as states move to legalise and implement regulations permitting sports betting and igaming in the coming years. BetAmerica will benefit from the proven excellence of these market-leading providers.”
Documenting its moves made across the US in its recent financial report, GAN noted that significant events after the quarter saw the firm “currently preparing to launch three operator clients, which we believe will drive significant market share”.
This followed the acknowledgement of one significant loss, with the firm saying that it “does not anticipate sports gaming revenues from FanDuel after August 31, 2020”.
Lauding CDI as a “as a tier one operator client”, Dermot Smurfit, chief executive officer of GAN, commented: “We look forward to powering the BetAmerica brand with our highly optimised technology platform and enabling CDI to efficiently invest their marketing capital to attract loyal sports betting and igaming players.”
Furthermore, BetAmerica will also leverage Kambi’s sports betting offering as CDI aims to transition and grow its brand across the region.
Kristian Nylén, CEO, Kambi, commented: “It’s a pleasure for Kambi to be partnering with CDI and its BetAmerica brand, which has the potential to benefit from its market access and existing customer database.
“I’m certain with the quality and experience we possess, together with the BetAmerica leadership team, we will be able to grow our businesses together as the US sports betting and igaming market expands.”
