Gaming Realms has rolled-out a multi-year agreement with online casino content development NetEnt to licence the firm’s “most popular slot of all time”.
The licensing partnership will see mobile focused gaming developer utilise NetEnt’s Starburst title to create what it lauds as “an epic new game” which combines the Slingo grid mechanic and all the classic features of the original igaming title.
Mark Segal, chief financial officer of Gaming Realms, commented: “We’re thrilled to have secured the licensing rights to the Starburst brand, a legendary slot that has dominated the gaming industry for years.
“We’re confident that fans of Slingo and Starburst will enjoy our new collaboration, which will bring together the best features of both brands.”
The new game, Slingo Starburst, will be available worldwide and will be distributed to the online real money gaming market in 2021.
“To widen the reach of our portfolio and building brand awareness in new markets is a vital part of our strategy,” added Andy Whitworth, chief commercial officer at NetEnt.
“Gaming Realms has an extraordinary reach among Slingo fans, especially in the US. We are certain that great games will come out from combining Gaming Realms expertise, the Slingo grid mechanic and our renowned IP.”
