Oryx Gaming has added further depth to its German market aspirations after unveiling a partnership with the Greentube-owned StarGames.

Through the deal, StarGames will gain access to content from Oryx’s exclusive RGS partners, which includes a portfolio of third-party content, as well as player engagement tools and data services available via Oryx Hub. The player tools include free spins, tournaments and leaderboards, and have been designed to boost engagement and retention.

Earlier this year, Oryx announced that its igaming platform and RGS slots content have been adapted to be fully compliant with the latest transition period guidelines, ahead of the official market opening next year.

Matevz Mazij, managing director of Oryx Gaming, said of the agreement: “This deal is a significant step for us as we gear up to take on the German online market once it fully opens next year.

“StarGames has a long experience and a leading position in Germany, which will be an advantage to us as we establish and grow our business in the country.”

Last month, Greentube announced that its StarGames online gaming entity is preparing for German market entry, and will apply for a nationwide licence in the country as new legislation comes into effect in July 2021.

As part of the preparations for its debut, StarGames is taking “all steps necessary” to ensure that its offering is compliant with guidelines and regulations introduced to promote social responsibility and to minimise gambling-related harm. StarGames is also currently applying to be licensed with the Malta Gaming Authority

Laszlo Pados, brand manager of StarGames, added: “Oryx has a varied games offering from a growing number of suppliers, whose content has already proven popular with German players.

“We are currently looking for exciting and innovative content providers to complement our portfolio of classic and new Novo Line slot games in order to launch our nationwide operation with top-quality content that fully complies with the German regulations. Oryx can assist us in achieving this goal.”
