Pragmatic Play donates €5,000 to the Women for Women Foundation

Pragmatic Play has made a €5,000 donation to the Women for Women Foundation as the igaming content provider marks International Women’s Day.

Women for Women, centred in Malta, has grown as an online community to now include 40,000 members from all over the globe. The group manages the Women Social Fund, which supports women and their families through difficult times.

The foundation aims to empower women with tools to be independent and to support themselves and their children to take better control of their lives. This is done by offering emergency support, education support and mentoring to women from all walks of life.

With events taking place worldwide to celebrate the yearly occasion, Pragmatic Play will also be a platinum sponsor at the Women for Women celebratory event, which will see ten hours of discussions, in a virtual forum, ranging from conversations regarding Women in Sport to the History of Feminism in Malta.

Julian Jarvis, CEO of Pragmatic Play, said of the donation: “International Women’s Day is one of the most important celebrations in the calendar globally, and we’re delighted to support this great program.

“The Women for Women Foundation is an incredible organisation that positively benefits thousands of people all over the world which makes us beyond happy to assist them with this donation.”

The donation marks the latest engagement from Pragmatic Play in its home community, where the supplier’s major office hub of Sliema is located. In December 2020, the provider donated a total amount of €30,000 to three other organisations throughout Malta, reinforcing its commitment to offering community support.

That initiative saw the provider contribute €10,000 to the St Jeanne Antide Foundation, Malta Hospice Movement, and the Good Shepherd Sisters.
