Global Payments to advance capabilities of 888s’s SI Sportsbook

888 is to utilise Global Payments Gaming Solutions in a bid to deliver “a first-class betting and gaming experience” to users across regulated jurisdictions.

This has seen the online gambling group opt for Global Payments’ igaming solution, as it looks to advance the payment offerings for its SI Sportsbook.

This technology will enable SI Sportsbook to tap a multi-channel approach, connecting online and brick-and-mortar gaming players.

This will see the digital offering utilise the VIP preferred online ACH system to power funding and withdrawals for online sports betting, as well as the VIP preferred ACH network to allow users to quickly access funds from their on-file checking account.

“At Global Payments, our top priority is providing industry-leading solutions that our partners can leverage to create a safe and secure sports betting experience for patrons,” said Christopher Justice, president, Global Payments Gaming Solutions.

“We are pleased to partner with SI Sportsbook to help them launch innovative online betting solutions for sport fans.”

In June 2021, 888 and Authentic Brands Group teamed-up to develop online sports betting and igaming products targeting the United States, which would be led through the latter’s Sports Illustrated brand.

Through the implementation of Global Payments’ igaming solutions, the SI Sportsbook is looking to deliver a frictionless funding experience directly to users via their smart devices.

“Delivering a first-class betting and gaming experience is what SI Sportsbook was created for, and a key part of this is offering players a diverse suite of payment options,” said John Atkinson, Director of Business Development at 888.

“Partnering with Global Payments Gaming Solutions enables us to enhance the player experience and further the position of SI Sportsbook as a cutting-edge platform in the market.”

SI Sportsbook currently operates in Colorado with plans to launch in additional states soon. Earlier in the year, Atkinson told CasinoBeats: “For SI Sportsbook, we launched in Colorado at the start of the NFL season. The product has been well received with positive customer feedback from players across the state.

“The 888, Sports Illustrated, and Authentic Brands Group teams have also been hard at work connecting media with sports betting through integrated content and social.

“We look forward to engaging with users in new ways and bringing SI Sportsbook to new states in 2022 starting with Virginia where we were recently awarded a licence.”
