Relax Gaming makes Colombia entry via MegApuestas partnership

Relax Gaming is “delighted” to have inked a deal with Colombian-based operator MegApuestas, supplying the latter’s platform with a roster of igaming offerings.

This deal will see Relax access the South American player base for the first time, with the company providing its complete catalogue of proprietary slot content to the country.

“We’re delighted to have entered the LatAm market through Colombia,” stated Alexia Smilovic Rønde, Chief Regulatory Officer at Relax, commenting on the debut.

“The high pace at which we’re expanding globally is deeply encouraging, especially with this new jurisdiction that boasts such a high regulatory profile.

“We’ve effectively capitalised on previous jurisdictional experience to achieve an extremely fast time to market. We’ll certainly keep a close eye on regional regulatory developments to continue our successful journey in this part of the world.”

The supplier suggests that landing this Colombian deal “marks a significant milestone” in the company’s roadmap due to the country having “one of Latin America’s leading regulated igaming markets”.

With this in mind, Relax has outlined plans for  further expansion and is “expected to announce numerous Colombia-based partnerships in the near future”.

Nadiya Attard, Chief Commercial Officer at Relax, added: “The Colombian online gaming market was one of the first Latin American markets to thoroughly regulate online gambling and has been progressing steadily every year. It’s with great pride that we enter the market with the operating powerhouse MegApuestas.

“Their longstanding reputation and local demand will ensure Relax Gaming gets off to an exceptional start in this extremely promising market. We look forward to launching our proprietary content within Colombia with leading titles, and the business growth to come.”

The company’s offering comes with over 4,000 online casino games, including recent releases Money Train 2 and Temple Tumble.

Daniela Asaftei, Head of CRM MegApuesta, explained: “We couldn’t be happier to introduce Relax’s portfolio to our Colombian players and are delighted that they chose MegApuesta for their entrance into Latin America.

“We’re certain Relax’s games will provide our players with an entirely new level of entertainment, and we can’t wait to see how they react when these are made available to them.”

Furthermore, the brand’s titles are set to become available without the addition of Relax’s Powered By programme, which curates titles from third-party studios. The scheme most recently added Evoplay, offering the developer’s titles on its vast distribution network.
