AvatarUX, Red Tiger, ELK Studios and more: on the spin

Throughout the past week a number of slot releases have filled the CasinoBeats inbox, sit back and relax as we conduct our weekly round-up of a select few titles including AvatarUX’s underwater adventure, Red Tiger’s speakeasy sensation and ELK Studios’ barmy bird bonanza.

ReefPop – AvatarUX

With another PopWins game, AvatarUX has transported players to the depths of the ocean with a 6×4 reel setup that has up to 294,912-paylines available and a maximum win of up to x10,000 the player’s stake. ReefPop is a high volatility title with an RTP of 96 per cent.

Nicola Longmuir, CEO at AvatarUX, said: “ReefPop invites players to dive down to the depths in search of huge wins in another fantastic PopWins title.

“With a pays-both-ways grid offering excitement throughout every spin as well as mouth-watering win potential, we’re confident this is another great addition to our portfolio of engaging products.”

This is a PopWins title, meaning that winning symbols will disappear after applying their payout and replaced by two symbols, increasing the reel size with cascading wins.

If enough PopWins occur on one spin to increase the reel set to a size of 6×6, then the free spins feature will be activated.

This awards three spins while the reel set can start at a size of 6×4, 6×5 or 6×6 randomly. Each PopWin that occurs will reset the number of free spins to three.

Players can also spin a gamble wheel before the free spins feature to try and secure a larger sized reel set for the beginning of the bonus game mode. Losing this gamble returns players to the base game empty-handed.

In the free spins feature, the maximum reel set size is 6×8 which can be achieved by landing multiple PopWins and will not reset in between spins.

Super high value sharks can appear with multipliers of up to x30. If the maximum reel set size is achieved, golden shark multiplier values will be multiplied by two per each shark that is on the board.

Each spin in the free spins game mode will be enhanced by a free spins multiplier, which increases by a value of one with each free spin that occurs.

Bugsy’s Bar – Red Tiger

Red Tiger’s latest slot invites players to have a drink at an underground speakeasy as this 1930s-inspired release uses a 5×4 reel slot with 25-paylines and a maximum win of up to x26,670 the player’s stake. This title also has high volatility.

Low value symbols are represented by playing card royals, from Jack through to Ace, while money bags and three 1930s characters depict the medium value symbols, offering between x0.3 and x10 the player’s preferred stake.

Shot glass scatters are available on reels one, three and five. Landing three shot glass scatters on the same spin will provide seven free spins.

At the beginning of the free spins feature, players are presented with three shot glass that provide three out of five possible enhancements.

These shot glasses can enhance the free spins game mode by either removing a low value symbol from play, providing extra free spins from the start or causing wilds to stay locked in place for the duration of the game mode. Super wilds can also be offered to cover entire reels as well as win multipliers that apply to each win.

The free spins game mode can be retriggered by landing three scatters on the same spin, causing the three shot glasses to be presented again to randomly provide a set of three refreshed features.

Wild text symbols can also appear, substituting for all symbols other than the shot glass scatter. Landing five wilds on a winning payline will award a payout of x10.

Pirots – ELK Studios

With ELK Studios latest slot title, pirate parrots collect special gems on a 5×5 reel slot with payouts provided via the studio’s new CollectR mechanic, offering a maximum win of up to x10,000 the player’s bet.

Symbols in this game come in two different forms, collectors and payers. Throughout the game, wins will be provided when collector bird symbols land adjacent to payer symbols.

The collector birds will traverse over the payer symbols, collecting each payer symbol’s value as they pass them by. When collected, new symbols will drop in to replace them.

Collector birds come in blue, green, pink and red variants, each collecting the coloured diamonds they correspond with.

Low value symbols are represented by blue and green diamonds. If the right amount of matching combinations land on a single spin, these symbols can offer between x0.05 and x5 the player’s bet.

Pink and red diamonds depict the high value symbols, offering between x0.1 and x15 the player’s preferred stake.

Each of these coloured diamond symbols appear in five different forms, each offering a different prize value. At the beginning of each spin, these diamonds will all appear in their lowest-value.

Arrow symbols can appear on the reels. If collected by a bird, these arrows will cause all symbols that are the same colour as the bird to become upgraded to the next tier of prizes.

Rum barrels are also available to collect, causing a cluster of diamonds around it to turn into the same colour as the bird that collects it, which are then immediately collected.

Exploding bomb symbols can drop into play. When collected, by any colour bird, these symbols will explode after all payouts on that spin have been provided, causing all diamond symbols to disappear from the reels to make way for new symbols to drop in.

This explosion also causes the reel set to expand to a size of 8×8.

3 Lucky Leprechauns – 4ThePlayer

4ThePlayer’s latest Irish slot title sees players tasked with following a leprechaun’s trail with a chance of winning up to x5,000 their stake. Using a 5×3 reel set up with 243 ways to win, this game offers low volatility with an RTP of 96 per cent.

Henry McLean, Co-Founder and Commercial & Marketing Director at 4ThePlayer, said: “We always create games with a purpose, and this game was created as a direct response to player feedback and industry demand on the topic of ‘massive marketing max wins’; that huge wins are unobtainable from a player perspective and a huge liability challenge from an operator’s perspective, especially in highly regulated markets such as the UK.”

When triggering the leprechaun’s trail game mode, which was detailed in Yggdrasil’s March Roadshow, players are presented with a table of prizes that range from x7 on level one to x5,000 on the 15th level.

Each prize level contains a number of arrows, alongside the multiplied bet amount prize. The table will randomly spin through every option on each level, starting on level one which has four arrows and the x7 prize.

If the table spins to reveal an arrow, the player will be taken to the next level, offering higher prizes. Levels one to three have four arrows, giving players a four in five chance of advancing to the next level, and a one in five chance of landing the low-value multiplied bet amount prize. Levels two and three offer x10 and x15.

The next three levels offer three arrows next to multiplied bet amount prizes of x20, x25 and x30.

Levels seven, eight and nine showcase two arrows next to the prizes, offering x40, x50 and x70 respectively. Alternatively, when players land on these prize levels they can choose to activate four, five or seven win spins respectively, rather than receiving the prize amount.

Prize levels 10 and 11 offer prize values of x100 or x150 while only one arrow sits beside each prize amount, allowing for a one in two chance of advancing. Again, players can choose to take 10 or 15 win spins instead of each prize amount.

Prize levels 12, 13 and 14 offer x200, x400 and x1,000, while giving players the chance to gain one, two or five picks in a pick me bonus game mode respectively.

If players make it to level 15 on the trail, they will be awarded the game’s top prize of x5,000.

Thor’s Hammer Strike – Wizard Games

Feel the fury of the gods in Wizard Games latest mythological slot release, which is a 5×3 reel slot that has 50-paylines and a maximum win of up to x1,527 the player’s stake. This slot has medium volatility with an RTP range of 88.06, 94.06 and 96.23 per cent.

Joey Hurtado, Managing Director at Wizard Games, stated: “It’s a privilege to introduce Thor’s Hammer Strike to players as we continue on our mission to deliver a catalogue packed with exciting titles to thrill audiences all over the world.

“This is a game packed with energy and features and we believe it will prove to be another major hit for our wide network of operator partners in regulated markets globally.”

With the Thor’s respin feature, players are given six spins while the triggering Thor symbols stay locked into place.

Players will aim to land additional Thor symbols on the reels as they drop in with monetary values that are awarded to the player at the end of the feature. Each Thor symbol that drops in will award one additional spin each.

If Thor symbols drop in adjacent to other Thor symbols, these will merge together to award higher cash prizes depending on how many are contributing to one merged symbol.

If players land the correct number of Thor symbols adjacent to each other, these merged symbols can award between x3, for a 1×2 size symbol, to x750 which has the potential to be awarded for a 5×3 size symbol that covers the whole board.

These merged symbols can also offer jackpot prizes of mini (x100), minor (x150), major (x250) and grand (x750).

During the game’s free spins game mode, the third reel can only drop wild or scatter symbols into play, increasing each free spin’s win potential while creating a higher chance of retriggering the feature.
