Travel back in time and take part in the gladiator games in SpinPlay Games’ latest slot release Action Boost Gladiator, which has claimed our Slot of the Week award.
Displayed on a 5×4 reel, Action Boost Gladiator has up to 40-paylines when special features are active, a maximum win of x5,000 the player’s bet, a high volatility, and an RTP of 96.27 per cent.
The high deck of playing cards from nine to ace represent the game’s low value symbols, which can pay out x0.1 to x1 the player’s stake depending on what combinations land on the reels after a spin.
Gladiator’s tools and items, including an ancient Roman mace, axe, chariot and horse, depict the game’s medium value symbols, paying out x0.25 to x2.5 the player’s wager depending on the combinations that land on the reels.
Meanwhile, a single gladiator is the game’s high value symbol, and should certain combinations land on the reels, this symbol can pay out x0.5 to x5 the player’s bet.
In addition, the game’s wild symbol is a Roman amphitheatre, awarding x2 to x20 the player’s stake depending on how many appear on the reels. These symbols can replace all symbols except for the bonus and can stack on all reels.
Trophy coins represent scatter symbols, which have a variety of effects. The game also has green, red and purple coins which are added to pots to activate Action Boost bonus feature rounds.
After a trophy coin is collected, there’s a chance that the flag spin feature can be triggered and one flag spin is awarded.
If one or more coins land during the flag spin, Action Boost free spins are awarded depending on the reel combination. The feature can also award mini, minor, major and mega jackpots of x10, x50, x500 and x5,000 the player’s wager respectively.
There’s a chance that Action Boost free spins can be triggered when one or more coins appear on the reels. Each coloured coin is added to their respective bag and the combination of coins collected when the free spins trigger determines the Action Boost awarded.
During the free spins mode, active flags in the feature are determined by the Action Boost. Multiple Action Boost modes can also be activated at one time.
The Green Coin Action Boost awards five free spins to the player with every gold coin awarding a green flag spin during the feature, which in turn will award a bonus credit price or upgrade a symbol to a gladiator for the remaining free spins.
40-paylines occur during the feature as reels grow to a height of six. Any reel that features a wild is also nudged so all positions on the reel contain wilds.
The Red Coin Action Boost awards 10 free spins, with every gold coin awarding a red flag spin, which awards shields, bonus credit or jackpot boosts.
Each jackpot boost will boost their respective jackpot depending on the colour of the shield – green for mini, blue for minor, purple for major and red for mega. The jackpots for mini, minor, major and mega will pay out if three, four, five or six shields are collected respectively before they reset.
The Purple Coin Action Boost awards five free spins and every gold coin awards either one free spin, two free spins, a bonus credit prize or a purple flag spin. The respective flag spin can award a bonus credit or up to three free spins.
For every spin, a random multiplier of either two, three or five is awarded, multiplying line wins and bonus credit prizes.
