With comings and goings commonplace across the industry, BETBY, Playnetic and Optimove are among those to have bolstered their teams.

Kambi

Kambi has appointed Anders Ström as Chair of the Board following the decision of Lars Stugemo to step down from the role.

Stugemo notified the nomination committee that he does not intend to seek re-election at the Kambi annual general meeting 2024, where it was proposed that company Co-Founder Ström be appointed.

After 14 years of working at the sports betting platform provider – including almost a decade as Chair – Stugemo stated: “It became clear that I should, if possible, promptly pass the leadership to someone else.

“In this case, both I and Kambi are fortunate that Kambi’s Co-Founder Anders Ström is also a member of the Board and is ready to immediately take over as Chair.

“The Kambi journey has been remarkable, from early days serving a handful of partners to becoming a market leader with award-winning products and esteemed clients around the world.

“It has been an immense privilege and joy to work closely and intensively with Kambi, alongside an inspiring entrepreneur like Anders Ström.”

Stakelogic

Daniela Fricchione has been promoted to the role of Head of Account Management at Stakelogic following almost three years at the company.

After initially joining the group in 2021, what is hailed as a “meteoric rise” saw Fricchione elevated to the role of Senior Account Manager following an 11 months stint in the position of Account Manager.

In the new position, she will be in charge of all account managers and take care of all client relationships.

“Promoting Daniela to the role of Head of Account Management felt like an obvious move,” commented Stephan van den Oetelaar, CEO at Stakelogic.

“In her time in the company, she has displayed outstanding client management skills. Her personable nature, commitment to the role, and incredibly high standard of professionalism meant that this was always going to be the next natural step in her career.

We have the utmost confidence in Daniela and what she is going to deliver in her new role. She has a fantastic relationship with all our clients, and we know the accounts are in the best pair of hands we have available.”

BETBY

Sportsbook supplier BETBY has appointed Pierre Pulis to lead the company’s marketing functions, building on almost 15 years in “various senior positions”.

The company’s new Head of Marketing, which counts previously roles at the likes of  BtoBet, NeoGames’ B2B sports betting division, will look to build on a background of large scale marketing and communication projects.

Pulin will be responsible for steering strategic marketing initiatives for BETBY, as well as elevating brand awareness and spearheading campaigns aligned to the provider’s growth strategy in 2024 and beyond.

Leonid Pertsovskiy, CEO at BETBY, said: “With strong experience of the B2B sports betting landscape, Pierre has in-depth knowledge of the market and has established long-standing relations with industry friends, whilst also bringing with him a wealth of experience and creativity. We are delighted to have him lead on our marketing projects as we look for further growth in 2024.”

Optimove

Motti Colman has been promoted to the role of VP Revenue to manage all of Optimove’s global gambling business as he enters a ninth year with the customer-led marketing platform.

After joining in January 2015 as New Business Manager, Colman’s journey has also taken on the positions of Director of New Business and Senior Director of Sales before this latest advancement.

Addressing the move on social media, Colman reflected on developing from “a tiny office” to a “global machine with almost 500 amazing colleagues and clients stretching across some 1,300 brands”.

He added: “The last month has been one of the most challenging times to be operating as an Israeli company in incredibly difficult circumstances, but it also comes as no surprise that everyone in the business, both inside and out of Israel, have massively stepped up to the plate to continue to provide world class service to all of our clients and prospects, and I am incredibly honoured to be a part of such an amazing group of people, in such a special country that inspires me every day.”

Playnetic

Former Playtech VP of UK Operations, Dan Phillips, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Playnetic.

The emerging games studio has stressed a mission of creating “thrilling innovative gaming content”, ahead of a debut and launch will take place at ICE 2024.

In addition to a stay of a little over five and half years in the aforementioned role, Phillips is also the CEO, Founder, Advisor, Coach & Mentor at NEL Advisory.

Addressing the new position on social media, he commented: “I am pleased to announce that I have joined Playnetic as CEO.

“With a team of industry experts, we will soon be bringing to the B2B space an exciting range of bespoke games, along with new premium content from our two in-house studios.

“Our approach will be customer first, value, quality, service, and straightforward & transparent ways of working and integrating.”
