MGM Resorts International has been commended over its support for military veterans and their families through employment.

Publishing its Best for Vets: Employers List,  Military Times praised MGM for its workplace culture and recruitment policies for veterans, current service members and their families.

It follows a trend of support for veterans from MGM, with the firm also the yearly sponsor of the Las Vegas Veterans Day Parade as a public display of its commitment to US veterans.

In documenting the list, the magazine details how attractive an employer is based on these key factors – with MGM the US’ top-rated hospitality firm.

Primarily this is due to its professional development programs that aim to recruit military men and women and develop their new careers. Meanwhile, MGM also has employee network groups that bring together military veterans.

Jyoti Chopra, Chief People, Inclusion, and Sustainability Officer, commented: “MGM Resorts is proud to honour the commitment and sacrifice of our nation’s Veterans, service members and their families, underscoring our steadfast dedication to fostering a culture of inclusion.

“We are unwavering in our efforts to extend support, resources and career opportunities to those who have courageously defended our liberties and fundamental human rights.”The casino operator plays host to the annual Salute to the Troops experience in Las Vegas in collaboration with USO and American Airlines. Salute to the Troops is a five-day celebration marking over 100 active-duty armed force service members who have been injured in the field.
