Former COO Jordi Sendra has been appointed as CEO of  aggregator platform, Alea, replacing Alex Tomic who recently stepped down from the role.

As part of the C-Level changes, Ramon Glieneke has been appointed COO, where he will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business.

Commenting on his appointment Sendra said: “I’ve been at Alea for the last three years and during this time, I’ve seen the business evolve into one of the most exciting aggregator platforms in our industry.

“I’m delighted that Alex and the team have put their trust in me to lead this company forward and I’m also very excited to welcome Ramon to the team.

“We are always looking for new and incredibly talented people from outside of the iGaming industry to join us on this journey. Ramon’s API aggregation experience gained from working within the travel sector will provide us with a whole new level of knowledge and perspective and will help to ensure our success moving forward.”

Looking to further bolster Alea’s footprint in new markets, Tomic will now assume a non-executive role, which will see him focus more on the overall strategy of the business in these and other emerging markets.

Commenting on his appointment as COO, Glieneke added: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to bring my vast experience to the iGaming industry.

“Alea is one of the fastest growing companies in this space and I’m thrilled to be given the position of COO and look forward to supporting Jordi as we go from strength-to-strength.”
