William Hill has been confirmed as the official sponsor of the Lincoln Handicap horse racing card at Doncaster Racecourse.
The UK sportsbook and casino operator will return as the title sponsor for the seven-race card, including the one-mile flat handicap race, taking place this weekend on March 23.
Featuring branding for William Hill, the card will also include races such as the Spring Mile, Cammidge Trophy and Brocklesby Stakes.
The operator had previously sponsored the Lincoln Handicap over a decade ago but terminated the sponsorship deal in 2015, looking to cut marketing spend due to revised gambling taxes on its business.
Commenting on the sponsorship deal, Lee Phelps, Head of Broadcast and PR at William Hill, said: “The Lincoln is a race deep in history that always attracts a high-quality, competitive field, so we’re delighted to be sponsoring it again.
“The dust has only just settled on the Cheltenham Festival, but with the William Hill Lincoln kicking off the new British Flat season on Saturday, and the Grand National Festival, a meeting we are the official betting partner of, only a few weeks away, it’s a very important and busy time for us.
“We’ll be celebrating our new sponsorship by offering enhanced place terms on the William Hill Lincoln, which hopefully offers customers plenty of value.”
