Killer robots deliver killer wins in Thunderkick’s new dystopian slot release Xterminate, which showcased cascading wins with exponential multipliers to take SlotBeats’ latest Slot of the Week award.
Transporting players to a war-torn dystopian future, Xterminate presents a 6×5 reel slot with scatter-pays of eight or more identical symbols, with a maximum win of x25,000 the player’s bet available. The slot uses high volatility with an RTP of 94.12 per cent.

Xterminate uses cascading wins, meaning that symbols in a winning combination will disappear after providing their payout to make way for new symbols that drop in from the top of the reels.
Wins are formed when eight or more identical symbols appear in any position across the board. The highest-paying wins are formed when 12 or more identical symbols appear on the same spin.
Grenade symbols can drop into play, activating the bomb feature when it appears on a spin with no initial wins.
This feature causes all symbols other than grenades, wilds and the most present low or high value symbol on the reels to explode and disappear, allowing new symbols to drop in from the top.
The slot also offers a TOTALX multiplier feature, in which all payout wins are presented as multiples of the player’s chosen bet, which are then added to a multiplier value above the reel set.
Each win is first multiplied by the current Xterminate multiplier that sits above the reel set, before adding that increased value back to the Xterminate multiplier for any subsequent cascading wins that occur on the same spin.
At the end of the cascading wins, the Xterminate multiplier above the reel set will be applied to the player’s stake to reveal the total win for the spin. This multiplier value will then reset for the next spin.
Thunderkick has also introduced a new BET+ function with this slot, allowing players to pay increased prices for spins with double the chance of witnessing a win (costing x2 the player’s stake), spins with five times the chance of winning (x5) and spins with guaranteed wins (x10).
Finally, charged human character wilds are available, depicting a number of lives from one to three. This number represents the number of cascades the wild will stay present on the reels for as it substitute for all symbols other than grenades.
