The Carolina Hurricanes host the Vegas Golden Knights tonight in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final. Puck drop from the Lenovo Center is set for 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
Carolina pulled even in the series, 2-2, with a 5-3 win in Las Vegas on Tuesday. DraftKings is dealing the Canes as a -162 favorite with a total of 6.5.
The total is up a full goal after the first four games cashed on the OVER. 84% of the money and 81% of tickets are still on the OVER tonight.
Best Bet Golden Knights vs. Hurricanes
Carolina -162 on Moneyline
It’s tempting to take the Hurricanes -1.5 on the puckline at +164 after they used an empty netter to cover the spread in Game 4. But this series has been so close, and no lead seems safe.
Vegas came back from a two-goal deficit on Tuesday, and Carolina has shown the same resilience in the series.
Carolina enjoys a legitimate home-ice advantage at the Lenovo Center. The Hurricanes are 7-2 on home ice this postseason.
“Carolina, I’ll maintain, is the loudest building in the NHL, and other buildings are nearly as loud, but I think some of that is fake noise, if you will, and I feel like Carolina’s noise is real, and that comes from the Caniacs themselves and this crowd,” ESPN host Steve Levy said during last week’s national teleconference.
Seth Jarvis (pictured above) came to life with the game-winner in overtime the last time out at the Lenovo Center.
Best Player Prop for Carolina Hurricanes
Jordan Staal OVER 0.5 Points (+120)
Jordan Staal is playing like a man possessed, scoring a goal in each of the first four games. He’s only the fourth player in Stanley Cup Final history to do that. Staal actually found the back of the net twice in Game 4.
Staal’s amassed a combined nine shots in the last two games. The 37-year-old captain is now among the top-four betting favorites to win the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP. DraftKings offered +550 odds at the time of publication.
Best Player Prop for Vegas Golden Knights
Mitch Marner OVER 0.5 Goals (+215)
Mitch Marner is riding a four-game point streak, having hit the score sheet in every game in this series.
Marner went off in Game 3 with a hat trick and an assist. He would have finished with four goals, but failed to convert a penalty shot.
Marner leads all NHL skaters with 29 playoff points. He’s the Conn Smythe Trophy betting favorite with -105 odds at DraftKings.
“He’s had a marvelous playoff,” ESPN analyst Ray Ferraro said. “He’s been awesome. He’s been the one guy I think consistently start to finish that has produced both goals and assists, like points for them.”
He added, “I think the build of the team allows Marner to kind of just do his thing, and he’s done it exceptionally well.”
