THE PULSE OF THE CASINO INDUSTRY

iGB Live opens with a flourish

The inaugural staging of iGB Live kicked off at 10am in Amsterdam this morning, in Hall 8 of the RAI exhibition centre – and the early omens are encouraging.

The absorption of Clarion’s autumn flagship event EiG into the old Super Show format would appear to be paying early dividends with the B2B half of the show floor at least as busy as the usually bustling affiliate half.

But then affiliate visitors have always tended to arrive a little later to the party, so that half of Hall 8 is likely to out-bustle the B2B section soon enough.

Some big names are also making their mark at the Amsterdam event, with BetConstruct, NetEnt, Microgaming, Colossus Bet and Play’n Go all staking a claim with busy stands.

A clear improvement to yesteryear is the clear advertising of event wifi that actually seems to work. There are signs too that the food on offer might be an improvement on recent years.
