Tim Alper graduated from the University of Kent at Canterbury and went on to train as a journalist at the London School of Journalism.

He has been working in the world of journalism, with a focus on tech, sports, finance, and culture, since 2004.

He spent over a decade living in South Korea, where he worked as a senior editor at Korean Air’s inflight magazine Morning Calm and a columnist at Chosun Ilbo, the country’s best-selling daily newspaper, and Maeil Kyungjae, the nation’s top financial newspaper.
He also worked as a tech correspondent at the Korea Times, and served as the editor-in-chief of the monthly magazine Korea IT Times.
His work has also been featured in publications and news media sites such as The Motley Fool, FXEmpire, Kyunghyang Shinmun, Joongang Ilbo, Dong-A Ilbo, and more.
He worked as the editor-in-chief at Edelman Digital Korea, and has also published several books, including the Naver best-selling title “There’s An English Bloke Living Next Door.”
He has previously worked in an editorial role with several major gaming sector clients, including the casino-resort operator Paradise.
Tim speaks fluent Korean, French, Russian, and Spanish.
Tim now lives in his native UK, where he enjoys running and lifting weights.
