NetEnt, a leading developer of casino gaming content, has gone live with a broad selection of its video slots at the recently opened casino Ocean Resort in Atlantic City, in the US state of New Jersey.
The NetEnt titles are to be provided via the GAN platform and Ocean Resort players are to gain access to the developer’s full offering, including its Free Spins functionality.
NetEnt’s entire portfolio of award-winning online casino games are to become available to Ocean Resort players in the coming months as the integration gathers pace.
In a statement, the company said: “After successful technical integration, a broad selection of NetEnt’s popular games are available with Ocean Resort casino New Jersey, and more slots are being rolled out over the coming weeks.”
The Scandinavian gaming giant has also struck a similar deal with Atlantic City’s other new casino venue, the Hard Rock Atlantic City, which opened on the same day as Ocean Resort Casino in June.
The moves continue to build on NetEnt’s avowed strategy to become the gaming content leader in regulated markets as the company seeks to regain sector confidence following an underwhelming 2017 and sweeping management changes in recent months.
The most high-profile of which saw longstanding chief executive Per Eriksson sacked and replaced with former CFO Therese Hillman.
In addition, chairman Vigo Carlund stepped down, citing “personal reasons”, to be replaced by Fredrik Erbing as the new chairman of the board.
COMMENT: Last month, new CEO Therese Hillman assured investors that the NetEnt “turnaround” was well under way. Launches like this one surely must be just the beginning if the company is to retain its reputation as a market leader.
