Gaming software giant NetEnt has signed an agreement with Svenska Spel Sport and Casino, a subsidiary of Swedish state gaming operator Svenska Spel, to supply a its online casino games in Sweden from January.

The deal is in preparation for the launch of the country’s re-regulated gambling market on January 1, 2019, as approved by the Swedish parliament in June.

Fredrik Wastenson, managing director and head of business unit at Svenska Spel Sport and casino, said: ”NetEnt was an obvious choice when selecting an online casino supplier ahead of our re-regulated market entry on January 1, 2019.

“We are convinced that they will deliver casino games of the highest quality and become a very important partner for us.”

The commercial launch of the suppliers’s online casino titles with Svenska Spel is anticipated for the beginning of 2019.
