Aston Villa Football Club has entered into what it lauds as a “record breaking commercial agreement” with Asian focused gaming and betting firm W88.
The company, which the club labels a “growing brand in the gaming industry with a strong presence in Asia,” encompass live dealer casino, poker, slots, lottery games and sports wagering, joins as principal partner for the 2019/20 season.
Hilly Ehrlich, W88 business development manager, said of the agreement: “We are both thrilled and excited to be working with Aston Villa, who, for more than 140 years, have been one of England’s top football clubs.
“We look forward to engaging with the fans, players and club management in the coming months. W88 is a renowned online gaming brand with a significant member base. The brand represents trust and integrity, with sports namely soccer at its core.”
Under the terms of the partnership, which begins upon the Villa Park-based outfits return to Premier League football after securing Championship play-off success, sees W88’s logo feature on the club’s Premier League Kappa home and away shirts, as well as first-team training wear.
Nicola Ibbetson, Aston Villa’s chief commercial officer, added: “The club is delighted to welcome W88 as a new principal partner of the club, their logo will sit proudly on our kit for the 2019/20 Premier League season.

It has been a busy week for Midlands football, with Birmingham City and Wolverhampton Wanderers also penning new sponsorship deals.
The former secured its biggest sponsorship deal in over a decade with BoyleSports named as its new principal partner until the end of the 2020/21 season, on the same day as it was revealed Wolves entered a new record agreement alongside ManBetX.
