William Hill US is deepening its sports wagering footprint across the Hawkeye State, with Iowa expected to launch the activity statewide next month, pending regulatory approvals.
The company has added Eldorado Resorts owned Isle Casino Hotel Bettendorf and Isle Casino Hotel Waterloo to its roster, following an agreement penned alongside Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino in January.
William Hill is to serve as the official sportsbook operator at both properties when the green-light is issued within Iowa, with consumers able to take advantage of the firm’s mobile app, betting kiosks, and in-play wagering menu at the newly constructed sports betting entities.
David Grolman, president of retail operations for William Hill US, explained of the new agreements: “We are thrilled to build on our already extensive relationship with Eldorado Resorts as the sports betting industry continues to gain momentum. As a growth-fueled company, they have taken monumental steps to become leaders in the gaming industry.
“These two Iowa destinations will offer sports fans amazing new opportunities to enjoy the games and teams they love in new and exciting settings.”
Isle Casino Hotel Bettendorf, located three hours from Chicago on the Iowa-Illinois border in the ‘Quad Cities’ region, is to feature 12 55-inch odds boards as well as eight 65-inch viewing monitors.
Isle Casino Hotel Waterloo, situated an hour and a half from Iowa City and two hours from Des Moines, on the other hand is to encapsulate eight 65-inch odds boards and 15 55-inch viewing screens, totalling more than 46 feet of viewing monitors
Anthony Carano, president and chief operating officer of Eldorado Resorts, added: “Expanding the William Hill relationship to include Iowa offers our loyal customers a full complement of gaming action, and plays an important role in providing guests the unbelievable experience they have come to expect from Eldorado Resorts.”
