William Hill has unveiled plans to roll-out its 143rd US sportsbook, as Indiana’s Tropicana Evansville aims to capitalise on impending legalisation.

The Hoosier State stands poised to become the 12th region to legalise sports betting following the repeal of the federal ban last year, with the Eldorado Resorts owned property targeting a September launch pending approval by the Indiana Gaming Commission

Set to remodel the Tropicana Evansville’s current 421 Lounge for the sportsbook, Eldorado and William Hill, which is set to make its Indiana debut and subsequently enter its eighth state, hope to be up and running in time for the National Football League debut Friday 6 September, when the Green Bay Packers visit the Chicago Bears’ Soldier Field.

The new offering is to feature a 16’ x 9’ ft. video wall, ten 65-inch viewing monitors and 12 odds boards which will provide sports fans with a plethora of viewing options.

Striving to deliver “the ultimate sports betting experience for fans,” the book is to be afforded a prime location just off the casino floor.

“We are excited to continue expanding our relationship with Eldorado Resorts and introducing William Hill to sports fans in Indiana,” commented David Grolman, president of retail operations for William Hill US

“Tropicana Evansville is a great destination, nestled between Nashville, Louisville and St Louis, and we look forward to serving guests with our 85 years of sports betting experience.”

The sportsbook will offer guests and bettors access to William Hill’s mobile app, kiosks, and InPlay wagering menu, with the firm also hiring more than a dozen positions for the location.

Glenn Carano, senior vice president of operations for the East region at Eldorado Resorts, added: “We are delighted to have William Hill as the official sports book operator at Tropicana Evansville. They are a leader in the sports betting industry and bring years of experience with them.

“We have no doubt that William Hill’s industry-leading wagering menu and technology will enhance the guest experience, which is always the priority at all Eldorado Resorts properties across the country.”
