In a media release issued by the firm it was confirmed that the Vietnamese government has awarded an investment certificate allowing the KNIR to develop a casino complex.
Subsequently KN Cam Ranh has announced an intention to develop partnerships in the implementation of investment and operation of the project, as well as seeking a link-up “to develop a partnership of the casino complex with an international operator”.
It is said that via the certification a casino complex can be introduced that spans 16.2 hectares and includes the operation of 200 gaming tables alongside 2,000 electronic machines.
The investment deputy general director of KNIR said of the green-light being issued: “It is with great enthusiasm that we are adequately ready to cooperate with the international casino gaming operators for the development and operation of our integrated resort in Cam Ranh. Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam. Undeniably, our strategic location and development plan will create an indispensable addition to the Pan-Asia integrated resort marketplace.”
Located in the south-central coast region of Vietnam, the total project is to spread over 800 hectares, and is inclusive of a five kilometre stretch of the Bai Dai Beach.
Located a five minute drive from Cam Ranh International Airport, and 30 minutes from Nha Trang City, the total development plans to include a wide range of hospitality and residential properties, multiple 4-5 star hotels, luxury resorts, branded apartments, villas, mansions, shophouse, townhouses, shopping and duty-free centre, MICE facilities, luxury marina, union square, beach clubs, water park, theme park and more.
Part of the complex, the 27-hole KN Golf Links developed and designed by gold legend Greg Noirman debuted on October 27, 2018, with the Wyndham Grand KN Paradise Cam Ranh hotel opening its doors in towards the culmination of 2019.
The development follows the debut of the Corona Resort and Casino on Phu Quoc island, the largest of Vietnam’s islands, which opened in 2019 and represented the first time that locals could enter a casino property in their home country.
