Rightlander.com has unveiled its support for Spanish igaming operators, in the shape of a new compliance tool, a short time after launching a ‘Social Responsibility Report’ for UK and Sweden facing entities.

The compliance monitoring specialist has introduced a new ‘Fast Track’ bonus tracking report for the country in response to the Spanish Government’s decree to prohibit any online gambling advertising.

This follows the Spanish Government having approved urgent measures to limit the advertising of games of chance and online gambling on all marketing channels during the ‘State of Alarm’ caused by COVID-19.  The Royal Decree-Law 11/2020 came into force from midnight on 3rd April 2020.

Operators have taken a zero-tolerance approach towards any affiliate that contravenes these measures, and Rightlander.com has subsequently released its report which is designed to help operators quickly identify affiliate pages promoting bonuses alongside an operator’s brand.

Additionally, the report finds “Life Changing” keywords that might be used in affiliate marketing material. These consist of specific terms that imply that gambling can change a person’s life by improving either their lifestyle or appearance. Operators will also receive a list of affiliates sending Spanish traffic to their brand’s non .es domains.

Ian Sims, founder of Rightlander.com, commented: ” Judging from the influx of requests we’ve received this announcement made a sudden an big impact. Rightlander is ideally positioned to make these sorts of snap decisions as we already have a substantial database of Spanish language affiliate sites that we scan regularly, although, until now that has mainly been for affiliate links to non-ES domains, as per the local regulator’s guidelines.”
