Australian online casino slot supplier Lightning Box has extended its global reach after earning the right to supply its content to the British Columbia Lottery Corporation.

The provider has been licensed by the state’s Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch, ensuring that it can now provide its full catalogue to the lottery’s players.

Lightning Box’s slot Silver Lion has become the first to go live this month, with the agreement further expanding its footprint across North America having launched its first titles in Canada with Loto Quebec late last year.

The first title to go live as part of thet deal was Lightning Horseman, which became the Quebecois state lottery’s highest earner game in its first 24 hours

Peter Causley, CEO and co-founder of Lightning Box, said: “We’re very happy to have been granted permission to supply BCLC as it marks another important step as we continue to grow the business and its reach.

“I’m sure our games, starting with Silver Lion, will be as popular with their audience as they have been among other players on the continent and around the world.”

Last month the BCLC gave lottery players an additional six months to claim prizes for tickets that have an expiry date between March 17 2020 and September 17 2020.

Players who purchase lottery tickets for draw-based games typically have up to one year from the date of the draw to claim their prize, however, this has now been extended as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.
