SlotCatalog has named Red Tiger’s remake of the NetEnt classic Piggy Riches as the top slot in the UK market thus far in 2020, after sharing a data report documenting the January-June timeframe.
The data-driven intelligence platform for slot games across the igaming industry has shared its insights via its bi-annual slots popularity sector reports which it entitles the ‘SlotCatalog Awards’.
This, the firm says, looks at “the most qualitative, popular, and highly positioned casino game releases during the first half of 2020 by analysing 18,000 slot games, 385 game providers and over 1,800 online casinos across various geographical markets”.
The methodology of the report scanned approximately 796 UK casinos, with the 205 most popular selected to be included in the data set and final report.
The report includes games that were released between January 1 and June 30, with the average SlotRank metric based on the games’ rank between day 30 and day 60 following the release date.
The January release of Piggy Riches Megaways scooped the top spot, ahead of Blueprint Gaming’s ‘7’s Deluxe’ based on Reel Time Gaming land-based slot machine Sevens.
Rounding off the top three is Age of the Gods Epic Troy, one of the many additions to the Age of the Gods jackpot franchise by Playtech that was released towards the close in January.
The rest of the top ten was made up by Age Of The Gods Glorious Griffin by Playtech Origins, Ash Gaming’s Age of the Gods Norse King of Asgard, Aztec Bonanza by Pragmatic Play, Reel King Megaways by Inspired Gaming, Kingdoms Rise: Scorching Clouds by Sunfox Games, Rarestone Gaming’s Adventure Trail and Red Tiger’s Zeus Lightning Power Reels.
A SlotCatalog company spokesperson commented: “The digital casino sector has seen lots of thrills with some awesome games being released by studios to meet the fast-moving demands of players.
“We currently track game positions in the casinos lobby daily for 40+ different markets and have highlighted the key findings from the UK and Ukraine slots markets.”
In its Ukrainian round-up, Play’n Go, Pragmatic Play and Red Tiger were all pinpointed as top performers, alongside Booongo, Spinomenal and Endorphina.
