Wizard Games, a subsidiary of NeoGames, has announced the appointment of Benedict McDonagh as Managing Director in a move to “take the studio to the next level”.

Yannis Xirotyris has been appointed as chief commercial officer at Novibet, as the online casino and sports betting operator strengthens its senior leadership team.

In the new position, he will be charged with taking a ‘data-based, analytical approach’ to the company’s holistic growth strategy as Novibet aims to continue to enter ‘new demanding markets’.

Prior to joining the group, Xirotyris worked at PokerStars, which later became a part of Flutter Entertainment, where he held the positions of international development director and director of global marketing. 

During this time, he was responsible for managing a number of Flutter’s brands, having also contributed to PokerStars’ global expansion.

Xirotyris was also the regional manager for Greece and the Balkans at Sportingbet where ‘he was one of the first executives of the local online gaming market’ – playing a key role in the expansion of Sportingbet across the two regions.

Earlier this month, Novibet teamed-up with Gaming Innovation Group for the provision of its automated affiliate marketing compliance screening tool, GiG Comply.

The solution enables operators to set-up their own criteria and checklist parameters to scan and check affiliate websites for content including igaming code red words, links and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions

It works by using its rules engine to analyse real snapshots from affiliates’ campaigns, and provides operators with the promotional content that is being used in their brands’ promotions.
