Golden Nugget debuts online live dealer table games in Michigan

Golden Nugget Online Gaming has received Michigan Gaming Control Board approval to launch online live dealer titles at its igaming entity across the region.

This will see patrons of GoldenNuggetCasino.com gain access to blackjack, roulette and baccarat table games with real dealers from their computer or smartphone, anywhere in Michigan.

Evolution, which is partnered with GNOG in the jurisdiction, provides the technology for the online live dealer games, which run in real-time so players can place real-money bets and interact with real dealers as well as other players at the table – all as if they are on the casino floor.

Michigan lauded a “new era” on January 22 upon launching its online casino and sports betting ecosystem, which saw GNOG team-up with the Ojibwa Casino & the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community to go live in the region.

Thomas Winter, GNOG president, stated: “We were the first to bring live dealer to New Jersey and are excited to expand into Michigan. We invite all online players to try this new and exciting online live gaming experience.”

May’s online casino and poker revenue fell to its lowest level since February as people “spend less time indoors”, according to PlayMichigan.

Down 5.9 per cent from $94.9m to $89.2m, over the 30 days of June, online casinos and poker rooms produced $3m per day, down from $3.1m per day in May, yielding $13.7m in state taxes and $5m in local taxes.
