SkyCity implements mandatory vaccine mandate at Adelaide venues

SkyCity Adelaide

SkyCity Entertainment has rolled-out a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination mandate for entry to all of its Adelaide-based venues from Thursday 10 February.

From this date, all employees and patrons, over the age of 18 for gaming venues and over the age of 16 for non-gaming venues, will need to show proof of full vaccination or a medical exemption to enter SkyCity Adelaide.

These venues include the group’s casino, hotel Eos by SkyCity, and all bars and restaurants such as Sol, iTL, Madame Hanoi and Sean’s Kitchen, amongst others.

David Christian, SkyCity Australia COO, said the decision will ensure that company has in place the highest available levels of protection against COVID-19 for its people and customers.

“As one of Adelaide’s largest single site entertainment venues and as a significant employer, we need to take measures to help keep everyone safe,” he explained.

“While we have existing robust health and safety measures in place to limit the risk of exposure to COVID-19, public health information and research confirms that COVID-19 vaccines provide the best protection for our employees and customers.

“SkyCity has been significantly impacted by the outbreak, and we have been encouraging our people to get vaccinated at the earliest opportunity.

“We would like to thank our highly valued employees and customers for their understanding.”

Customers will be required to show their COVID-19 digital certificate on their smart device or provide photo identification with a printed certificate, with official medical exemptions also needing to be provided by unvaccinated patrons prior to entry.
