NFTs, mobile gaming and cryptocurrency are three of the top trends that will take the gaming industry by storm according to Technamin Founder and CEO Suren Khachatryan

To ensure that its partners can capitalise on these trends, Khachatryan explained that Technamin has been launching plenty of new solutions while also fine-tuning its current offering.

Speaking to CasinoBeats, the CEO dives into the top trends across the online gaming industry before giving us a sneak peak into what Technamin has planned for 2022.

CasinoBeats: Thanks for taking the time to chat with us. What were the key learnings that you have taken from 2021 that will shape your strategy over the next 12 months?

SK: Thank you for having us on board. 2021 was certainly an interesting year! While it affirmed certain things we had learned a year prior, it also gave us food for thought regarding what was to come in 2022. We certainly realised that there will never be an end to innovation in our industry, as a lot of things are rapidly changing and we all have to be consistent with adapting to these changes.

Trends such as cryptocurrencies, the emergence of NFTs, as well as virtual and augmented realities are still, well, trending! And these will definitely be part of Technamin’s strategy this year and onwards. We plan on equipping our products with the latest innovations, so we can offer more options to our clients and their players.

Responsible gaming, which is now being revamped effectively thanks to advancements in artificial intelligence, is also an important part of our growing industry that must be taken seriously. It is crucial that players have the best experiences in a completely safe environment.

Technamin has always been adamant about this, and we are constantly striving to uphold responsible gaming requirements. We have had this as part of our strategy from day one, and it will certainly be there at all times.

CasinoBeats: What do you envisage the top trends across the online casino industry to be in 2022?

SK: I think technological advancements will have a big role to play in shaping igaming trends. Cryptocurrencies are a great example of that. What was once a vague concept is now considered as an inseparable feature of our industry, and it’s only growing in popularity.

The same goes for NFTs, which are a very “2022” trend. Even though some people are on the fence when it comes to these tokens, I think that they will become an industry staple over time. We are already seeing the first NFT-based casinos and that number is rising. Blockchain technology is definitely here to stay.

One aspect in iGaming which often goes unnoticed is the enhancement of graphics every year. Visually, everything just looks and feels more real than it has ever felt. This might appear as something minor to some, but it amounts to a lot when it comes to user experience.

And last but not least, VR has been playing a more active role in igaming. Before too long, we will be able to reproduce the feeling of being in a land-based casino and interacting with others, without the player needing to leave the comfort of their homes. This is only possible through VR and augmented reality algorithms. Luckily, those are advancing at rapid rates.

CasinoBeats: How can Technamin’s online casino platform help its partners to capitalise on these trends?

SK: We are always catching up with the industry by offering our partners a lot of solutions upon which they can capitalise. As well the trends I mentioned above, Technamin is also fully on top of the latest developments in mobile gaming All of our products and solutions are designed to be mobile-friendly and cater to this ever-rising demand.

Additionally, our crypto casino lobby is fully compatible with cryptocurrencies and supports the best-known currencies, adding a lot of flexibility.

Our Technamin casino is also equipped with advanced gamification engines that help with player engagement and work in unison with our multifunctional bonus engine on the vast selection of games we have available from top-tier providers.

Fully understanding the ever-increasing player need for customisation, we strive to offer unique experiences fine-tuned to each player. The more customised the experience, the more engaged and satisfied the player. All of our games are compliant with responsible gaming standards to ensure that players can have the ultimate experience in complete safety.

We’re keeping an eye on the NFT trend, and are planning to launch our NFT-friendly casino some time in the near future. Technamin has innovation as its cornerstone, and the bigger we grow, the more options we will have to offer our partners.

CasinoBeats: Are there any particular innovations within the live casino space which you believe will capture the industry’s attention in 2022?

SK: Live casinos have been rising in popularity ever since they were first introduced. Needless to say, a lot has changed since then. A number of innovations are being introduced, each better than the other.

We spoke about graphics earlier. You can now get the same quality graphics for mobile live casinos that you get on desktop versions. It wasn’t always the case. This goes along nicely with the rising popularity of mobile gaming.

Another key innovation is virtual reality. Whereas live dealers and the current live casino experience mimic that of land-based casinos, it’s still not quite the same.

It’s not immersive enough. With VR, players will be able to have the full experience of being in a physical casino, complete with interactions with dealers, and even other players. This is very exciting and opens up a lot of new possibilities.

CasinoBeats: How important is localisation of live casino content for the sector’s development?

SK: I’d say it’s very important. More regions are opening up to iGaming and betting in general, and it’s crucial to have localisation in order to offer a more personal experience to the end user. At the end of the day, what we are offering is a form of content and that content should be easy to understand.

This can be achieved by and large through localisation, for example dealers speaking in the languages of their specific regions, as well as website interfaces being translated into various languages. This is crucial for businesses wanting to branch out into newer territories.

CasinoBeats: Finally, what can we expect from Technamin in 2022?

SK: 2022 is shaping up to be an exciting year for us. We are in preparation for ICE London, and will be showcasing our products and solutions there. It goes without saying that as we prepare for the event, we are also fine-tuning our solutions and adding new features to the existing ones. While we prefer keeping our cards close to our chest, I can say for sure that there are a lot of interesting updates coming up, both in terms of Technamin’s products and the growth of the company as a whole.
