GGPoker has detailed a sponsorship agreement with Triton Poker, in a collaboration that intends to capitalise on the digital and land-based expertise of each company.

The alliance sees GGPoker, which recently detailed its impending entry into Ontario, commence the collaboration with a sponsorship of the upcoming Triton Poker Cyprus – Special Edition event, which runs from April 2 through to April 7.

“Since its inception, the Triton Series has striven to bring live poker to the next level,” said John Scanlon, Director of Sponsorships & Live Events at GGPoker.

“It’s not just about the size of the buy-ins or the big name players, but the quality of production and level of engagement it receives from the poker community.

“This partnership is the perfect synergy between two brands aligned with a common goal to bring poker to the masses through premium product offerings.”

The Triton Poker Series, made up of Super High Roller and other tournaments and cash game formats, on the Mediterranean island will be the starting point for the alliance.

The event at the Merit Royal Hotel & Casino in Cyprus includes a variety of no limit hold’em six and eight handed tournaments as well as short deck offerings.

With its latest partner signed-up, Triton states that “two of poker’s most exciting brands” will now collaborate on future live events, with exclusive online satellites to be made available on the GGPoker platform.

“We are thrilled to welcome GGPoker as our premier partner this season. GGPoker brings a wealth of experience within the online gaming industry and is renowned for being at the forefront of developing innovative games and features,” stated Andy Wong, CEO of Triton Poker Series.

“Significant live coverage has always been the cornerstone of our business, and this partnership will further enhance the thrills and spills our fans have come to enjoy at our exclusive events.”
