CEGO’s online casino operator brand Lyckost has become the latest firm to join the Swedish Trade Association for Online Gambling, or BOS (Branschföreningen för Onlinespel).
The Swedish licence holder, which operates in the county under the Lycost brand as well as via Spilnu in Denmark and Happy Tiger in the UK, becomes the association’s 21st member.
“BOS has been a key player in the development of the Swedish gambling market,” commented Allan Auning-Hansen, Lyckost chief executive officer.
“At Lyckost we believe it is important that the gambling industry collaborate and engage with the regulators. At Lyckost we are pleased to become part of BOS.
“We look forward to gaining more insights on the Swedish market and support with the insights we have from many years in the Danish market and the UK.”
BOS represents gambling companies and game developers that target Swedish consumers, with all of the firm’s 2C members holding a relevant Swedish licence.
“To hit 21 means that you are busted when playing blackjack, but as a gambling association we can never be too many,” explained Gustaf Hoffstedt, BOS Secretary General.
“Lyckost brings us knowledge about the gambling market in general and the Danish gambling market in particular. That is of value, since it is a society that resembles Sweden, but was almost a decade ahead in introducing a licence system for gambling.”
