Yggdrasil has entered into the Latin American market after the online gambling group linked-up with US-based Rush Street Interactive’s Colombian brand.

As part of the company’s entry into LatAm, Yggdrasil will go live with its suite of slot titles on RushBet.co, with local players gaining access to titles such as Raptor Doublemax and Hades Gigablox, along with its Vikings Trilogy and games from its YG Masters catalogue.

“RSI is a market leading operator in Colombia, and we are very proud to have been given the trust and confidence to introduce our best-in-class games to their local audience,” explained Andrew Pegler, Chief of Commercial Operations at Yggdrasil.

“We are excited about this opportunity and look forward to growing our presence in the region together with RSI.”

Yggdrasil also noted that, as part of its “clear focus” to expand in regulatory markets, the firm’s entry into Colombia via RSI, the first US-based gaming operator to launch in the regulated market, “yet another milestone achievement” in its strategy.

Richard Schwartz, Chief Executive Officer at RSI, noted: “Yggdrasil is well-known for its high-quality slots content and offers a diverse portfolio of fan-favourite and new games that is sure to impress our growing customer base in Colombia.

“We are excited to be the first  to offer Yggdrasil’s impressive games portfolio in Colombia and look forward to a long term successful partnership.”

The company’s LatAm launch follows on from a busy April for Yggdrasil that saw the firm link-up with Slotbox and Livespins, as well as the changing of the guard Fredrik Elmqvist handing over the Chief Executive Officer reins to Björn Krantz with immediate effect.

As CEO, Krantz will build upon more than 12 years of C-level experience having previously been with gaming solutions provider NetEnt for a decade. He joined Yggdrasil in January 2020 to lead the group’s publishing division and most recently served as Chief of Global Market Operations.
