Rootz strengthens commercial division with Brown appointment

Playson has expanded its commercial development via the promotion of Christos Zoulianitis to a new role within the firm.

Rootz has strengthened its ranks as it appoints Sam Brown as its Chief Commercial Officer, who will be tasked with leading its commercial affairs division. 

Set to be based in the firm’s headquarters in Malta, Brown joins Rootz with more than 15-years experience across numerous C-level B2B and B2C roles, with the company hoping his knowledge can aid “cement” its position in the igaming scene. 

“I have maintained a keen eye on Rootz for several years now and it feels great that I no longer need to admire from afar,” explained Brown. “I’m really excited about the new challenge and looking forward to working with a high performance team.” 

The appointment of Brown also frees up its current CMO, Melanie Hainzer, to distribute her efforts into Rootz acquisition arm while the company seeks to obtain licences across various jurisdictions. 

Furthermore, the operator has revealed that it expects to be fully operational in Germany “imminently”, with Netherlands and Ontario licences likely to be received in the fourth quarter of this year. 

Lauding the success of its flagship brand Wildz Casino since its debut in 2019, Rootz also recently added a fourth addition to its roster with the launch of its streaming site, Spinz Casino

Following its sister sites, Wildz, Caxino, and Wheelz, the site will comprise of up-and-coming content creators to showcase the latest releases and place promotional games under the spotlight.
