Internet Vikings enters Louisiana via launch of hosting services

Louisiana

Internet Vikings has continued to strengthen its North American standing after the firm launched its hosting services in Louisiana.

Lauding the state entry as “yet another milestone” along its road to nationwide expansion across the US market, the igaming hosting provider’s receipt of rights to legally operate in Louisiana follows similar moves undertaken across a multiple states, including New Jersey and Michigan.

“At Internet Vikings, we have worked tirelessly to develop solutions that are far different from other hosting companies, with more innovative services that are uniquely tailored to each individual client,” stated Rickard Vikström, CEO and Founder of Internet Viking.

“In light of our steady growth and expanding customer base, we look forward to continuing in this direction. We are glad to be operating in Louisiana, and we will continue to work towards extending our US presence.”

In June 2021, the state officially recognised and legalised sports betting, with a retail debut taking place in October of last year and online participation debuting in January 2022. As part of the moves, legally authorised operators now include commercial and tribal casinos, racetracks and online enterprises.

In December of last year, Internet Vikings marked its debut in the state by going live in Baton Rouge, with the strategic move into Louisiana said to “tick off yet another box” towards its aim to be “one of the finest” igaming hosting providers across North America.

Victor Jerlin, CTO and Founder at Internet Vikings, commented: “This is a great achievement for us. Louisiana holds a wealth of opportunities as it finally welcomes the online gaming community.

“We have seen exponential growth in this lucrative sector, and being at the forefront allows us to offer a myriad of crucial services to businesses of all sizes.”

However, despite its Louisiana movements, the firm has already set its sights on several more states, which are in the process of preparing to open their doors to regulated online gaming in one form or another.
